Mandurah

Mandurah is a dream location for people who love being on, in or near the water. Only an hour south of Perth by car or train, the city of Mandurah enjoys some of the most spectacular waterways in the country, often compared to a modern Venice. So if you’re looking for a seriously large aquatic playground, you’ll find it here!

The Peel-Harvey estuary which is twice the size of Sydney Harbour is ideal for canoeing, kayaking, jet-skiing, boating, houseboating, dolphin cruises, fishing and crabbing (in season). Enjoy 136 square kilometres of water fun! The Mandurah Ocean Marina, Western Australia’s most modern ocean based marina, is a must when visiting Mandurah even if you don’t own a boat. Being an aquatic playground offering beaches, boardwalks, parks and piazzas, the Mandurah Ocean Marina provides a colourful mix of waterfront market stalls, shops, cafés and restaurants as well as modern facilities for both professional and recreational boating enthusiasts.

Another favourite for visitors is to sip wine on a twilight cruise around the canals and waterways with Mandurah Cruises, who also offer daily dolphin cruises. With plenty of accommodation options from luxury hotels to intimate B&Bs, Mandurah is the perfect location to base yourself and to enjoy the relaxed holiday atmosphere, watch spectacular beach sunsets, explore the region during the day and to enjoy dinner with a view at the quality waterside restaurants.
