DISCOVER THE SWAN VALLEY
Within an easy 30 minute drive from Perth lies the historic wine region of the Swan Valley, well known world wide for its award winning wines. Swan Valley wines were first Planted in the new colony of western Australia from 1830 with the first commercial vintage in 1863. The Sunset coast is also producing some impressive wines and is within 45 minutes from Perth. The vignerons welcome visitors to their cellars to sample their produce as well as to enjoy a delicious range of food from the many winery restaurants. Guildford
Guildford first settled in 1829 and is one of Australia’s most important historic towns and lies 13 kms east of Perth. Guildford is the gateway to the Swan Valley Region.
The Region offers wineries, accommodation, restaurants, chocolate factories, Aboriginal arts and crafts, studios, historical churches and buildings, wildlife parks and sporting attractions.
Whether the visitor has 2 hours to spare between flights, or a few days to relax and unwind a visit to this 40km region by car, coach, boat, horse drawn wagon or an individually designed Heritage Tour is a unique experience and one that shouldn’t be missed.
