Hotels in Perth and Fremantle are graded by using the star system which ranges from the 5 star which is the best, through to 4, 3 and 2 star. All have licensed drinking areas, accommodation and meals. Private hotels are sometimes alcohol free establishments.

Self Contained Apartments
Perth has a number of self contained units. The units are fully equipped with all essentials from crockery to bed linen and some consist of a bed sitting room, kitchenette and bathroom.

Holiday Accommodation
While much of the accommodation already mentioned can be classed holiday accommodation, there are alternatives near the ocean. Small fully contained flats and chalets are available very near the beach.
Caravans and campsites or chalets and bungalows at holiday villages are also available for rent.
